THE Uitenhage based Nimzowitsch Chess Club is back in action and games are being played on Monday and Wednesday afternoons at the Allanridge Civic Centre.
“We invite all former players who participated in games last year to register again at the club. New members are also welcome especially those interested in learning how to play chess,” said Patrick Baartman from Nimzowitsch Chess Club.
“There are lots of chess playing talent in our surrounding schools. We need to foster and promote the game among the youth.”
Games start at 15:00 in the afternoon to accommodate the young players and continue until 20:00 to accommodate the older players.
