ACTIVITIES of the YMCA Uitenhage have commenced last week and this year the focus will mainly be on health wellness programmes in partnership with various Wards and health institutions.
According to Charles Anthony, chairperson of YMCA Uitenhage, the association which is a non-government organisation, have trained a total of 120 home based carers.
Nadia Master has joined the home based care programme as the convener to assist carers with placements. The training has been outsourced to Sister Wilma Franse.
Registration forms for the next home based care training sessions are available from Kluelani Internet Café at the Van Willing Building.
