THE Wheels 4 Sight is all about creating awareness regarding inherited retinal blindness and to highlight the importance of knowing what is in your genes.
The Uitenhage Lions Club, Spiders Web, Workshop Crew Motorcycle Club and Luister!FM have joined hands with Retina SA (a Cure in Sight for Blindness) in celebration of the discovery and understanding of DNA and the scientific advances it has made possible for treatments.
DNA determines the particular structure and function of every living cell and is responsible for characteristics being passed on from parents to children.
DNA Day is being held on Wednesday, April 25th and Retina SA invites the public and schools to, on this day, support the event by hosting a silver coin collection and wearing Jeans.
Retina SA needs the public’s help to establish a diagnostic panel to screen South African’s genes to bring treatment to all South Africans suffering from retinal blindness.
All donations for your Jeans can be made to Wheels for Sight, Bank FNB Acc. No. 62750719951, Branch Code 261050 ref: Jeans/school/Company.
