THE cold weather is upon us, and the Rotary Club of Uitenhage South continue to support the less fortunate in the town with their annual collection of blankets and warm clothing.
To achieve a meaningful volume of blankets and warm clothing for distribution to the needy the Rotarians would like the help of the community at large.
A collection point will be set-up on the outside of OK MiniMark in Cuyler Street tomorrow (Friday 6th July) between 18:00 and 21:00 for the public to bring whatever they can “dig out”.
Anything you can find will go towards people who desperately need it. Blankets, woollies, beanie hats, kids and babies clothing, or absolutely anything you can find which will help will be gratefully received.
And for those who really have already given everything away, the Rotarians have sourced a supply of new blankets and are asking the public to sponsor them at R60 each, so no excuses, please at least pitch on Friday night with your R60.
