With a record breaking 223 teams taking part this year in the Medihelp Nelson Mandela Bay Train Race, it was team Train which crossed the line first in a time of 01:46:00 minutes, just 3 minutes ahead of the first running team, Gamble Socials from Uitenhage.
Teams were well supported along the route with over 100 volunteers from CHOC, Bluewater Bay Neighbourhood Watch I-Patrol and Despatch Sector Policing lining the route and hundreds of locals coming out in support of the race as it passed through Port Elizabeth, Swartkops, Azalea Park in Despatch and finally Uitenhage.
The race was well supported by teams from Uitenhage and Despatch.
