MANAGEMENT and members from the South African Police Service in Uitenhage bade farewell to 11 officers and members owing to retirement or resignation.
The head of Vispol, Colonel André Swart highlighted special incidents in their careers and said, “You all have been valuable assets to this organisation and we will always be truly grateful therefor.”
The officers who have retired are:
W/O Wynand Carelse (37 years service), W/O Henry Slambee (29 years service, Captain Aletta Rudman (37 years service) and Captain Karin Erasmus (28 years service).
The officers who resigned are:
Lt Col Gavin Baker (32 years service), Ms Jolene Oelofse (24 years service), D/WO Headman Koko (31 years service), Sgt FJ Zama, Sgt NE Mali, Sgt CR Brown and Const CA Stokes.
