Come winter, come winter sport with mini hockey one of the highlights for young boys and girls who enjoy sport in Uitenhage.
The Uitenhage Mini Hockey Club was established during 1994 and has presented pre-season coaching for the past 26 years, excluding 2020 owing to COVID-19 precaution regulations.
“Yes, we are back and looking forward to our popular mini hockey coaching which will commence on Saturday, 5 June at the Uitenhage Hockey Club diagonally across from the Indoor Sport Centre,” said Peter Biljon. “Unfortunately owing to COVID-19 restrictions, this year we can accommodate only 50 children between the ages of 6 and 13 years.”
The coaching will be every Saturday from 5 to 26 June between 09:00 and 11:00. T-shirts with the Uitenhage Mini Hockey logo printed on them are available at R60 each. Mini hockey balls will be provided as well as coaches for each squad.
All that is required of participants is a once off R180 registration fee, your own hockey stick and to wear proper running shoes.
Registration is on Saturday, 29 May between 09:00 and 12:00 at the club. Practice starts on 5 June at 09:00.
