A sold out high tea, hosted by Miss Teen Commonwealth 2018/2019 finalist Benathi Douse (18) from Despatch, will be held on Saturday in support of Oosterland Youth Centre.
“I like to help where there is a need. And I like to give of my time, especially at Oosterland, where I enjoy some fun time with the little ones,” said Benathi, one of 20 Miss Teen Commonwealth 2018/2019 finalists.
She matriculated at Riebeek College Girls High School in Uitenhage and is currently studying at Varsity College toward her BA degree in Psychology and Communication Science.
The Miss Teen Commonwealth is organised by Commonwealth Pageant South Africa and serves as a platform for young women to become charity and cultural ambassadors within South Africa. It strives to empower the finalists with the knowledge to be young leaders of tomorrow and to focus on various skills.
“All contestants need to make a difference in their communities. It is something that I really enjoy,” said Benathi.
