The third Rotary Super Eleven Netball Tournament recently took place at Frans Conradie Primary School, in Despatch.
The tournament saw twelve schools participate in the event that saw more than double the number of supporters attending the event this year.
Speaking to UD Express, President of the Rotary Club of Uitenhage, Rynhardt Fourie said, “The purpose of the project is to promote sportsmanship, provide an opportunity for under-11 players to interact, participate in positive physical activity and develop their skills.”
He added that the primary schools that participated in the tournament are: Frans Conradie Primary School, Despatch Primary School, Susannah Fourie Primary School, Dalrose Primary School, Winterberg Primary School, Laerskool Innes, Vérité Primary School, Little Flower Primary School, Kruisrivier Primary School, Caritas Primary School, Seagull Primary School and CW Hendrickse Primary School.
According to Fourie, the project started on May 15, 2025 with the 2025 launch for the Super Eleven Netball Tournament, through a function. “The main purpose of the function is two-fold: firstly to promote the event and secondly, to determine the programme for the day by means of a draw, whereby teams’ names are drawn and placed on the playing schedule for the day,” he said.

The results of the tournament are:
• Winner of the Tournament and the Rotary Super Eleven Trophy for 2025 was Dalrose Primary School.
• The Rotary Runner-up Trophy was awarded to Innes Primary School.
• Player of the Rotary Super Eleven Netball Tournament was awarded to Annimieke Wilkinson of Frans Conradie Primary School.
