FOUR leading traditional public schools with boarding facilities in Queenstown will host a collaborative open day for parents and prospective learners on Tuesday, June 19th.

The legendary schools are: Queen’s College, Queen’s College Boys Primary School, Girls’ High School and Balmoral Girls’ Primary School.

This year the Department of Education in the Province of the Eastern Cape appointed a new head of each of these schools. Roughly 2 300 learners are currently educated on the extensive campuses of these renowned schools.

Leading businessman and chairman of Queen’s College school governing body, Allister van Schoor, explains, “Collaborating will enable us, and the families we serve, to achieve our goals faster. We keep our schools affordable and help keep our families together and focused on education, without big-city distractions.”

Families from Addo and Kirkwood are known for their tradition of sending their children to these schools. Therefore families interested in these schools are invited to the June 19th opportunity to visit the collaborating schools – all four can be seen in one day!

The open day starts at 10:30 at St Georges Hall, Queenstown Girls’ High School, College Avenue, Komani. Guided tours of all four schools will run simultaneously at 11:30 and 12:30.
