Agri Eastern Cape has launched an application in the Supreme Court requesting the Court to compel the Government to fulfil its obligations to maintain and repair the gravel roads which service the rural areas of our Province.

“We are also requesting the Court to oblige the government to refund the money which numerous farmers have been forced to spend in keeping various Provincial Roads passable, and to outline the respective rights and duties of the parties in cases of this nature,” said Ernest Pringle, Agri Eastern Cape president.

“We have, over many years, attempted to find amicable solutions to this problem, and have now been forced to resort to stronger measures.” -REPORTER
