AT best, sports are about more than just winning games and entertaining crowds. They test the limits of what the human body and spirit can reach.
Whether it be the allure of a commemorative 55th anniversary for Uitenhage High School or the belief of certain individuals in the motto of said school, Perseverando Vincimus (Who Perseveres Overcomes) it is an exceptional occurrence when a school can boast with not one but three athletes in the Eastern Cape and Metro provincial teams.
In homage to these extraordinary young athletes, Uitenhage High School congratulates Rashaad Dolley (NMB Metro team); Shakiell Kaisi (400m EC team) and Annestacysha George, for being the Eastern Cape champion for 100m and 200m event.
All three of these athletes will be competing at the South African National Championships at NMU in Port Elizabeth between the 20th-23rd of March.
The school would like to wish all 17 athletes from the Uitenhage District who will be participating in this auspicious event the very best./
