AFRICA’S largest family beach event, the aQuellé Ocean Racing Series, returns to Hobie Beach this Sunday for the start of Season 14 with no fewer than 7 events for families to choose from each race day.
The series, which takes place on mostly alternate Sunday mornings at 09:00, is unique to Nelson Mandela Bay and offers family members the ideal way to get fit.
It includes a 5km Beach Run, 5km Beach Walk, a kids 12 years and under 1km beach run and no fewer than 4 separate swim distances for the open water swimmers including a 400m, 1km, 2km and 3km ocean swim.
All races run simultaneously with all finishers receiving a chilled aQuellé flavoured water and entry into the lucky draw prize giving which follows immediately after the last participant.
On the day entry fees are R150 for swim events and R100 for beach events, with Series members paying just R100 and R50 respectively.
