DID you know … the harmonica is the world’s best-selling music instrument? And a grand piano can be played faster than an upright (spinet) piano?
Or that Ariana Grande was the first person in history to have the lead single from each of her first three albums debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100?
And the longest song to reach number one on the Billboard charts on LP was “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meatloaf?
Oh … and Elvis was an avid gun collector. His collection of 40 weapons included M-16s and a Thompson submachine gun?
If you knew all the above – then you are a Music Trivia freak – and for sure are invited to the Uitenhage & Distric SPCA’s fun filled evening of music and games at Barkly Street Theatre on Thursday, October 4th.
“We are fast approaching our busiest time of the year. For that we need every cent that we can raise, to help see us through with all the unwanted and rescued animals,” said Deirdre Swift, chairperson of the Uitenhage & District SPCA.
Therefore the SPCA will, with the assistance of Brenton Krain, host a Music Trivia Evening and are hoping, with the support of all the local music lovers, to have a full house!
The fun starts at 19:00 and participation is R80 per person (maximum 8 people per team). Participants are most welcome to bring their own snacks, but hamburgers will be on sale at R15 each.
