THE 2018 JBay Wind Farm MTB Classic will pedal off at the Kabeljous parking area on July 14.
The event, which forms part of the JBay Winterfest is now in its sixth year and is firmly established as one of the favourites on the regional mountain-bike calendar.
Featuring a 25km fun ride, 50km marathon and 85km ultra-marathon, the event caters for mountain bikers of all fitness levels.
All three routes will traverse the spectacular JBay Wind Farm, from which the race derives its name.
Riders will have the chance to ride along roads interspersed by 80m tall wind turbine towers, spread more than 500m apart. The wind farm site spans 3 700 hectares on which there are 60 wind turbines.
