THE next generation will be the stewards of our communities and the nation in extraordinarily critical times.
Therefore Character Transformation, an educational framework for teaching universal values, promotes character education in schools, to help learners make better choices to make everyone’s life better.
People do not automatically develop good moral character. Conscientious efforts must be made to help young people develop the values and abilities necessary for moral decision-making and conduct.
A march to promote Character Transformation will be held on Thursday, April 26th from Kamesh Road (from Caritas) to Allanridge Civic Centre.
The action starts at 08:00 and learners from nine schools will be participating. Various community leaders will also participate and address the learners at the civic centre.
Character Transformation is nonpartisan and nonsectarian and its values transcend cultural, religious and racial barriers.
The programme, however,s goes much wider than just schools and influences whole communities.
