IT was clearly a case of deja vu at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium as the Gamble Pharmacy men’s and mixed teams from Uitenhage continued their domination of the popular Town Lodge Business Night Relay.
Taking place on the last Tuesday evening of the month during winter, the series attracted over 60 teams for the opening round.
The five speedsters from the Gamble Pharmacy men’s team finished in a fast time of 01:01:00 for the 17.5km course which sees each team member completing a 3.5km lap within the stadium precinct.
In the ladies team event, the Investec Ladies continued their domination with another fine win 01:18:00 ahead of SPAR Ladies and the teachers and staff from Woodridge College.
In the 3-person walking team category it was the team from Concord Cranes Group which won in a time of 01:14:00 with ETA College in 2nd place and the Gibson family team in 3rd place.
