THE popular 10km Despatch Road Race, known among athletes as the fast and flat race will be hosted by the Despatch Athletics Club on Spring Day, Saturday, September 1st.
This will be a prestige league as well as EP championship event held under the rules of Athletics South Africa and EP Athletics.
The race starts at 07:00 at Despatch SUPERSPAR, Dr Rabie Street. The first 150 pre-entries will each receive a buff. Entries can be made at Despatch Superspar, Klinicare Despatch, Brocketts Sports Uitenhage. Finishers in the 10km road race will receive an unique Despatch Patent miniature brick medal. This collection item medal follows last year’s clay brick oven tower featuring on the 2017 medals. A 5km fun run starts at 07:15 at the same place. The first 100 pre-entries at Klinicare Despatch will receive t-shirts. There will be loads of lucky draws.
