AN education campaign event focusing on the high rate of school drop-outs and the low pass rate in schools within disadvantaged communities, will be held on Saturday, October 13th at Babs Madlakane Hall in KwaNo-buhle.
The event is the first programme hosted by Intaba kaVuba Development Foundation (IDF) which was established on 27 January 2018.
“We are organising this campaign in an attempt to motivate, encourage and boost the morale of pupils, the youth and teachers,” said Mncedi Mjana, spokesperson of the Intaba kaVuba Development Foundation.
The programmes commences at 13:00 and the guest speakers for the day include former Deputy Minister of Finance, Mcebisi Jonas, as the keynote speaker, as well as the COSAS National Deputy Secretary General, Mzwa-khe Gwegwe.
According to Mjana they have invited education stakeholders, organisations and companies that have an interest in education.
