TIME is running out and fewer than 500 entries remain for the 15th Standard Bank IRONMAN African Championship event, which takes place on Sunday, 7 April 2019 in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Athletes can look forward to a different course. The swim will remain the same at the Shark Rock Pier on Hobie Beach.
Bike athletes will head out Marine Drive, up on to Sardinia Bay Road, Heron Road and head to Seaview. The new course is more picturesque as the Maitlands area will form a greater part of the course.
The run section has also slightly changed, moving the course along Drift-sands Drive. This allows for more spectators to cheer the IRONMAN athletes on. For more information visit www.ironman.com.
