In a momentous occasion for Despatch Preparatory school, a new chapter has begun as the school announces the introduction of Grade 4 for the first time.
With this expansion, Despatch Prep is set to accommodate a broader age range of learners and further enhance its already stellar reputation as a centre of academic excellence.
“The decision to introduce Grade 4 comes after careful planning and a dedicated effort by the school’s administration, teachers, and staff. It reflects the institution’s commitment to adapting to the evolving educational needs of the community while maintaining its core values of quality education and a supportive learning environment,” explained principal Madelene Sachse.
Benefits of the expansion
The addition of Grade 4 at the school brings several benefits for both students and parents. Firstly, it allows families to have a seamless and continuous educational journey within the school, eliminating the need to search for alternative institutions after Grade 3.
Moreover, Grade 4 at the school will provide students with an enriched curriculum, expanded extracurricular activities, and access to more resources, including a specialised team of educators dedicated to this age group.
Excitement in the community
The launch of Grade 4 has generated great excitement within the school community. Parents and students alike are eagerly anticipating the new academic year and the opportunities it will bring.
One parent, Mrs. Malgas, who is also chairlady of the SGB, expressed her enthusiasm, “We have been a part of the ‘Preppie’ family for several years, and we are thrilled that our child can now continue their education here. The school’s commitment to excellence and its welcoming atmosphere make us confident that Grade 4 will be an exceptional experience for our child.”
Future Plans
The Prep school has ambitious plans for the future, including the expansion of other grade levels in the coming years.
