MECHATRONICS Uitenhage Cricket Club was rewarded at the recently held Eastern Province Cricket awards evening, for its very successful season.
The club’s Premier League side won the Mayoral Cup T20 competition and ended third in the league for the second consecutive season.
The Fourth League team won the league for a second consecutive season, whilst the Second League team ended second. The club’s Premier Reserve League team ended fourth.
The cricket club also received the trophy for the most conscientious club.
Zakir Patel received the trophy for the Best Mayoral Cup Bowler and club head coach, Zarier Sirkhotte, received the trophy for EP Cricket Club Coach of the Year.
