THE Uitenhage Methodist Church will on Saturday, 24 November host its pre-Christmas Market family fun day ending off with their annual Christmas Carols Evening.
It is all about bringing the young and the old together to a centralised place to have fun and to do Christmas shopping at all the crafts and arts stalls, not to forget the food stalls.
There will be music and entertainment for the whole family with local performers Ru-Anè (12), Marelize Els, Hazel Swanepoel, Wendy-Lee Smit and The Silver Strings/Silwer Snare boere-orkes.
For the pet lovers High Noon Dog School will be present showing off their tricks. So will be Tina Hunt and her dancers, who invite visitors to come and dance away their stress. The kids can enjoy themselves on Tiny Feet’s jumping castles and soft toys and even a colouring in competition while the parents are winding their way around all the stalls.
The TMA Modeling School will show beautiful evening dresses. For the dads there will be a car show to enjoy. The pre-Christmas Market is from 09:00 till 15:00 after which the public are invited to join the annual Carol Service at 17:30.
The Despatch Men’s Choir will be performing, as well as Hazel Swanepoel, Johan Theron, Wendy-Lee Smit, Methodist Sunday School and Martin Schroeder and the Worship Band.
Admission is free. An offering will be taken during the service.The church is situated in Preller Street.
