Celebrating National Children’s Day

Children had an absolute blast on November 2 when Buddy Bear joined Uitenhage Provincial Hospital for their National Children’s Day celebrations.

They were also joined by Mrs Eastern Cape 2023 Christie-Leigh Gouws, her grandmother Judy and two sons, Mason and Gabriël.

The Uitenhage Provincial Hospital clinical support team pulled out all the stops in organising and setting everything up to spoil the kids on their special day.

Buddy Bear celebrated National Children’s Day with the staff and children at Uitenhage Provincial Hospital where every child received a handmade bear.

Reach for a Dream handed out special gifts to all the children, while entertainer Simphiwe Mzimba put on an outstanding show that had them cheering and laughing.

To wrap things up the Buddy Bear team handed out a special hand-knitted bear to each child.

A big thank you went out to the staff of the Children’s Ward for the love and care shown to each and every child in the ward, and for everyone involved in making National Children’s Day a successful event.
