STARTING a 1948 Plymouth fitted with a 327 Chevy V8 and a 4barrel Holley carb, will immediately attract the attention of petrol heads and motoring enthusiasts.
This Plymouth which originally is from Queenstown, belongs to JP Jonker and will be one of the many cars on display at Saturday’s SQP Cars & Coffee at Speedyquip in Port Elizabeth.
Other interesting features of this Plymouth include the front suspension which was changed to an upgraded Jaguar suspension. The car was painted VW Nano Grey by Danie van der Merwe. Gauges and lots of the parts seen on this car were supplied by Speedyquip.
Apart from the free coffee and biscuits for all attending, there will be a variety of cars from old to new, street rods, exotics, classics, vintage and super cars, motorcycles and trikes. All interested wishing to display their cars or motorcycles are most welcome. There is no fee to display or to view the vehicles.
The Animal Welfare Society will be selling food and cooldrinks as part of its fundraising efforts.
