Breathtaking jumps from 4×4 ‘top trucks’

AN Extreme 4×4 Challenge will be hosted at the annual Wings and Wheels Festival which will be held at the Uitenhage Aerodrome on Saturday.


AN Extreme 4×4 Challenge will be hosted at the annual Wings and Wheels Festival which will be held at the Uitenhage Aerodrome on Saturday.

A Total of 62 vehicles have entered the 4×4 Challenge, including entries from as far as Cape Town and Johannesburg. The Top Truck Class will be the highlight of the event and spectators can expect to see breathtaking jumps from these highly powered racing machines. Several other classes will also be in action, including standard production bakkies like Ford, Isuzu and VW Amarok.

The day’s activities will include arts and crafts, displays, food stalls, aircraft fly-ins and displays, classic and veteran car displays and live entertainment on stage.

The Extreme 4×4 Challenge starts at 08:00.

Entry fee is R80 for adults, R30 for children 6 to 12 years and under 6 free.

The entry fee includes all the activities of the day and evening, including listening to national singers Deon Groot, Wicus van der Merwe, Elizma Theron and Snotkop.
