A Fuel On Wheels mass ride, with everything on wheels participating, will be held on Saturday, September 29th, from Despatch via Uitenhage to the local SPCA.
This is all part of a venture to raise much needed food, bedding, funds, cleaning products or any other items that could be of benefit to the association.
The public are urged to support the event by either participating in the ride or by dropping of donations at one of the various drop-off points. These points are at: Kraaines, Superspar Despatch, Levyvale Superspar in Uitenhage, Pick n Pay Penford and OK Mini Mark in Cuyler Street.
Participants will departure at 07:30 from Budget Bicycles in Môreson Street, Despatch with the first stop at Kraaines to collect donations. The mass ride will then continue to the next four drop-off points before taking the load to the Uitenhage & District SPCA in Schonland Street.
The SPCA will be selling wors rolls and cooldrink at the kennels, as part of its fundraising efforts.
