Addo: Stolen property found – who are owners?

TWO suspects, a female (age 58) and a male (age 26) were arrested last Friday morning in Nomathamsanqa, Addo, and stolen property to the estimated value of R100 000 was recovered.


TWO suspects, a female (age 58) and a male (age 26) were arrested last Friday morning in Nomathamsanqa, Addo, and stolen property to the estimated value of R100 000 was recovered.

Both suspects were arrested on charges of from housebreaking and theft and the possession of suspected stolen property after both their houses were searched this morning.

Detectives received valuable information and a multidisciplinary team of police officers then searched the residential homes of the suspects.

“Various electronic items allegedly belonging to residents in the Addo area were recovered during these searches,” said police spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart.

The Addo police call upon the community to visit or contact the Community Service Centre of SAPS Addo in order for detectives to trace the rightful owners.

Complainants from burglary or theft cases are also requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Riaan van Tonder on 082 441 7812 or SAPS Addo 042 233 8803/04.

Items confiscated range from TV sets, computers, binoculars, drills, weedeaters, camera lenses, bench saws, cordless drills, jigsaws, small safe, camping stove, mountain bike, 48kg gas canister, compressor, playstations, Xboxes, notebook, power sanders, angle grinders, digital cameras, lawnmower, inverter, generator, DVD players to several cellphones.
