FOLKIFY! are known for their magnetic presence on stage, great storytelling and excellent acoustic music played damn well and will be seen live at Barkly Street Theatre on Wednesday, August 1st at 19:30.
After a sold out 2017 season, singer-guitarist Kevin Abraham is heading to Uitenhage with his acclaimed live show, Folkify! of which a part of their ticket sales will be donated to the Uitenhage SPCA.
Using a collaboration of guitar, violin and percussion, along with fine vocals and engaging story telling, Kevin delivers a stimulating mix of original songs plus acoustic interpretations of some great older stuff. If you were partying in the 70s and 80s you’ll find lots to enjoy in Folkify!
Kevin Abraham is joined by Kristo Zondagh who is a widely appreciated drummer and percussionist and David Kyd, a young prodigy, classically trained and fast being recognised as the serious violinist that he is.
Tickets are R100 per person and bookings can be made through Barkly Street Theatre (041 922 0575) or Deirdre Swift from the SPCA (081 039 4938).
There will be a cash bar and light refreshments to buy, but folks can bring their own snacks if they prefer.
